"THE BETTER PART OF ONE'S LIFE CONSISTS OF HIS FRIENDSHIPS"

Land of Lincoln

A coming of age story set in the Midwest of today, a young college kid must learn to step out of the bathroom, his almighty fortress of solitude and do the impossible: make new friends that aren’t a member of AARP.

Springfield, Illinois

A place filled with history that may or may not have peaked in 1860.

  • A college freshman in his second semester - his new friend’s include his parents, the old folks at church, and the 16th president of the United States. Sure, he only sees Lincoln when he’s in the Bathroom, but that’s honestly where he spends most of his time these days. Why wouldn’t he? Lincoln laughs at his jokes, loves shakespeare too, oh and manipulates him to spend more and more time with him.

  • He’s the 16th president Yes, our only poet president, but he can still be lonely as fuck. This Lincoln may or may not be Thomas’s upset stomach manifested into a melancholy bestie. Still, who doesn’t want to quote Shakespeare with the greatest president of all time?
